Me

Hi! I’m Caroline, and I’m here to empower women to feel stronger, healthier, and more confident through strength training, core/pelvic floor awareness, and personalized nutrition. With over six years of experience in corporate wellness and personal training, I’ve worked with women across all life stages, helping them find their own path to wellness.

My own journey to health wasn’t always smooth. In college, my journey to 'get healthy' led me down a path of restrictive dieting and binging, leaving me stuck in an unhealthy cycle that felt impossible to break. I spent about three years as a vegan, thinking it was the only way to be “healthy.” Over time, I realized that true health isn’t about rigid rules or extreme diets. Today, I eat in a way that honors my body, choosing foods that make me feel good, while leaving room for balance and flexibility.

In addition to navigating my relationship with food, I’ve faced several physical challenges that began in my teenage years, including hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and its comorbities, such as ADHD, pelvic floor dysfunction, and diastasis recti . These conditions have shaped not only my personal fitness journey but also how I approach coaching. Managing chronic pain and functional limitations taught me the importance of listening to my body and finding sustainable methods that reduce pain and promote healing. I’ve learned that health is about balance—not all or nothing—and that movement should feel good, not punishing.

I take a holistic approach to training, focusing on the whole person, not just the workout. My coaching considers how factors like nutrition, stress, sleep, and mindset contribute to overall well-being. I believe that true health is about creating harmony between your body and mind, and I integrate this philosophy into every program I design. 

During my corporate wellness experience, I’ve had the opportunity to develop and implement comprehensive wellness programs designed to help busy professionals prioritize their health. I’ve worked with individuals and groups to create solutions that fit within hectic work schedules—whether it’s managing stress, improving energy levels, or increasing fitness. This experience taught me that the foundation of success lies in sustainable, habit-based coaching, and I use this approach in all aspects of my training.

My main goals when starting was to lose weight and also get more specialized help with strength training. I felt like your approach started with the latter, and then as a natural byproduct, that helped with the first. We started by getting back to the basics, which was what I needed. Jumping into the Ladies who Lift class, I did not always know the basics and I needed to work on form and engaging my core. Your approach also helped me form new goals as we worked together that I never even know I wanted to accomplish. The main things I noticed was improved squat depth, better core engagement, and mental shift to a more positive self- love attitude.

My confidence was absolutely boosted by this experience. Not only by it just being a smaller setting so I felt safe, but you constantly encouraged me and supported me which made a huge difference in my confidence. I still sometimes struggle with confidence in my abilities, but PT was a great first step where I learned there is so much I am capable of. I really valued the personal connection and being able to freely talk about lots of other areas of my life that do still tie in to health and fitness. While there were certainly little moments during the year that I realized I had made progress, I think the most notable moment for me was when it was coming to an end and I was reflecting. I definitely had a mindset change, more strength and confidence, and less hip pain. I also realized when doing the Inbody and could see the muscle gain along with the fat loss as well as my clothes fitting better and being able to see and feel muscles I never had before. Your coaching was absolutely a reprieve from some of the stressors I was experiencing.

I have not tried other programs, but I don't think this would have been successful for me if I did not feel the personal touch/sense of connection. I don't open up easily to people, so feeling comfortable and safe made me able to talk more openly about my struggles so we could work on them together. I would 100% recommend this to anyone!

My initial goal was general health and overall body composition work with focused coaching for use of equipment and nutrition goals/expertise. As a personal trainer, Caroline was ready to offer educated suggestions and take me on a focused journey to my best overall health physically, mentally and emotionally. Eventually, I became pregnant with my first child and we switched from personal training goals to prenatal health and wellness, along with mobility and strength for each trimester - and now we have been through two pregnancies beginning, middle and end! I have learned SO MUCH about my body's abilities, and as a (primarily) virtual trainee, I've also learned so many modifications for weight training that have benefitted me greatly for daily, planned workouts as well as independent workouts and travel/vacation gyms, etc. where equipment varies (or is sometimes just non-existent!).

Early successes in my fitness journey with Caroline included better mental clarity and overall confidence in myself, my body composition changes led to tremendous wardrobe changes (yay!), and I was able to better appreciate exactly how my body could and should safely move and be engaged for daily tasks like carrying groceries and lifting moving boxes (plenty of those!), etc. Also, my body's amazing ability to transition in and out of back-to-back pregnancies (I have 2 boys under 2 yrs old now) has been a hard but beautiful journey. I can honestly say I wouldn't have been fit enough for my pregnancies if not for Caroline's prenatal and postnatal knowledge to help me stay strong for every transition! I also swear I could hear Coach Carol's encouragement in my head during labor saying "keep going, you've got this!" and "you're strong!" and "that's it, girl!" as I delivered my boys in one of the most arduous and vulnerable workout journeys a woman's body can experience.  

Every aspect of moving my body, sleeping habits, hydration, nutrition, and all other aspects of my personal wellness journey are so radically different and so much more cohesive than if I were to have continued to just look up videos or tried to piece together a fitness plan independently these last 4-5 years.  I owe almost all of my physical and mental health, my energy, my overall wellness and better outlook on life in general to Caroline's knowledge and guidance. I also can't say enough how much I appreciate her ability to truly tune in with her clients and make day-of adjustments as needed.  Before we even had a thought of pregnancies adding challenges to our workout routine, I had plenty of tricep tendonitis and plantar fasciitis and other limiting mobility challenges. When our fitness journey first began, we worked our way through each limiting moment and combined PT exercises with custom workout programs truly tailored to my own needs, and I was able to fully heal from my early health concerns and roll confidently into two pregnancies and come out on the other side more focused and determined about my wellness journey than ever!

Caroline is a true sponge for knowledge, and the more she learns and studies along the way, the more excited she is to pass along her expertise to her clients. When I began working with Caroline almost a year ago, I was aiming to build back my strength and endurance after having my first baby the year prior. I knew I wanted to lose weight that I gained during pregnancy as well but initially just wanted to focus on being able to workout in a group setting and feel confident enough to do so again. I attended Caroline's postpartum workout classes with other women who had similar goals and absolutely loved the community Caroline fostered through those classes, as well as how much I learned. I have been working out for well over a decade now and just last year learned proper breath-work and pelvic floor / core engagement (while exercising) all thanks to Caroline's expertise and passion for coaching. I attended one month of personal training sessions with Caroline and noticed my confidence in the gym soar, and an added bonus was getting to know such an amazing person and coach through our one-on-one sessions!

Upon completion of my personal training sessions with Caroline, she continued to follow me for the next few months and meet with me for progress/goal check-ins which was so helpful, and what I now know attributed greatly to my growth. Caroline encouraged me to increase my daily movement, something that I have not prioritized well in the past and helped me increase mindfulness around my relationship with food (hello sweet tooth!). Through these simple, but effective concepts Caroline encouraged me to implement, I noticed a decrease in my stress levels and positive change in lifestyle. I now am focusing on working out or going for a walk simply because I enjoy the movement and the way I feel after completing it versus to burn calories and get skinny. I am so thankful Caroline taught me how to appropriately engage my core during workouts. All these years I was just "sucking it in" and wondering why it didn't feel right...I'm also incredibly grateful for all she taught me regarding pelvic floor awareness as I believe it helped me gain strength where most needed post-partum. Should I have another baby in the future, I'm confident everything she taught me will be beneficial during pregnancy too!

Caroline Albert

When I started weight training with Caroline, my goals were to reduce my A1C, build muscle, and lose weight. We took initial intake pictures and did monthly InBody scans so I could SEE the progress I was making.

Caroline's positivity and consistent check-ins regarding nutrition during each training session made it easy for me to keep coming back. When I had days where my nutrition wasn't so great, she'd encourage me not to beat myself up about it and to reset the next day. She stressed the importance of eating enough protein at each meal, getting in vegetables throughout the day, and drinking enough water, that way I'd feel full and not overeat.

Over a period of a few months, I noticed my body was changing. My belly was getting smaller, my pants weren't as tight, I had more muscle tone, and my bloodwork indicated my A1C was slowly going down. I also had better focus throughout the day and could better manage my stress levels at work.

What I found most valuable during my coaching experience with Caroline was that she never judged me when I was feeling down about myself and continually encouraged me to believe in myself! She's a GEM and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her!

Whitney Mitchell

The goals I had when I started the 1:1 sessions was to focus on maintaining my workouts but focused on a pregnancy friendly routine. Caroline created a program that focused on pelvic floor stability/relaxation (which I had NO CLUE about), breathing techniques, while maintaining my strength and core training I was doing previously. My confidence level, even being pregnant, was at a high - this as a direct correlation with the workouts Caroline and I did. I felt better during pregnancy than I did working out on my own when I wasn't. I felt I made progress when I would be able to handle more weight and PR'd during a work out session with the confidence from Caroline's help and not pushing me to do something I could not do. She gave me the encouragement that I needed with each workout to feel great walking out of the gym each time. Working out for an hr, 3x a week helped me with my stress to get my mind off of work for at least an hr or more.

I've been much more mindful of my posture and breathing, which helps alleviate discomfort and reduce tension. It's made me more aware of how to engage my core in everyday activities, which has been helpful for maintaining stability as my body changes. Focusing on pelvic floor health had helped me feel more confident about preparing for labor and postpartum recovery. The one technique that significantly stands out for improving my core connection is breathing. Making sure I am breathing correctly versus how I use to before and finding. As well as, when breathing pressing on the pilates ball to make sure I am finding that connection. I definitely believe with the exercises made me feel a lot more comfortable throughout my pregnancy as well as stronger. My hip pain always decreases with each workout or movement that was shown to alleviate the ache/pain.

Having someone knowledgeable guide me has made me feel more confident and reassured that I'm doing the right exercises for my body during pregnancy and after. The personalized approach has helped me modify workouts as my body changed, ensuring I'm both challenged and safe. It also kept me motivated,  knowing that my coach understands the importance of core and pelvic floor health, and is helping me build strength in a way that supports recovery and long-term well-being. Having that accountability and tailored advices has been invaluable. I definitely felt pain relief in my hips and back once I started focusing on the proper exercises and movements that Caroline showed me. Once I started to do the movements and stretches that were shown to me, it really helped with reducing some of the tension and discomfort.

I would highly recommend your coaching to others, especially for anyone going through pregnancy or postpartum. Your guidance has been incredible supportive, not in terms of fitness but also in helping me feel more confident about my body during these changes. The personalized attention and focus on core and pelvic health been game-changers in managing discomfort and staying active. Caroline has been absolutely amazing! She really knows her stuff when it comes to the female body. She helped me get ready for labor, and recovering afterward was so much easier because of her. We’ve been working on building my strength back and easing into lifting again after having the baby. She’s also been a huge help with my pelvic floor, and breathing techniques which has made such a difference. I’m so thankful for her and everything she’s done for me—she’s the best! I started working out with Caroline to focus on strength training. I had navigated around the gym a bit on my own, mostly utilizing the weight machines and cardio areas. However, I felt pretty intimidated by the weight racks still. Caroline's coaching and programing have helped me improve my flexibility, body image, familiarity with equipment, proper form, and of course strength for the past (over) 2 years. I noticed after the first couple of months improvements in my overall well being, feeling better rested and a general feeling of being 'strong' and capable. Having been consistent over the past 2 years, I have noticed muscles in my arms and back that I never had before (my shoulders have never been so pointy).

Before working with Caroline, I strayed away from upper body because it felt intimidating, and leg day was easier. Caroline programs total body workouts, and my biceps and triceps thank her. I have over doubled what I could lift for bench press at the beginning, and it's now one of my favorite workouts. I'm constantly impressed with how creative Caroline gets, mixing up 'main lifts' with resistance training, adaptions, and modifications to keep things interesting.   I have appreciated being able to step away from work for an hour to focus on myself, and the progressive goal setting has kept me motivated. 

 

I don't love core workouts, but unfortunately I have to admit that a focus on 'deep core' workouts in the past 9 months has had a big impact in reducing the intensity of my period cramps. 

 

I am in the best shape of my life coupled with the best mindset/relationship related to the gym thanks to Caroline's coaching and programming. I highly recommend Caroline's coaching to anyone at any starting point. I appreciate her empathetic approach and general concern for her clients provides high value. 

Hannah Garcia

I started personal training with Caroline after I welcomed my second daughter in July of 2023. I wanted to focus on strengthening my core, and losing the baby weight. Caroline also taught a post natal class that was extremely beneficial to postpartum recovery. Caroline has a nice balance of firm, direct instruction while also maintaining a fun, positive environment that keeps you motivated and engaged. Though it's been awhile since I've trained with Caroline, I've noticed that I am still mindful of my core when working out and my breathing techniques. The breathing techniques have had a positive impact on my stress levels and anxiety throughout the work day. I had no idea the way you breathe (stomach or chest) had such a huge impact. 

I feel that postnatal coaching drastically helped my core and pelvic floor strengthen during postpartum. I still apply some of the movements in my daily life and notice a positive change in my hips and my back. I feel less achy and not as stiff.  

I have not personally had any other personal coaches, but I know what worked for me was the directness, making sure my posture is correct and I was corrected if not. Caroline keeps the sessions personable too which offers comfortability and trust. I would recommend Caroline as a coach to anyone who is looking to improve their life. She'll become more than a coach, and you'll receive a new true life friend.

I began working with Caroline over 2 years ago.  I had recently moved to a new town and in addition to that transition, I was in the middle of adjusting to menopause.  Before we began, Caroline and I talked about my goals for working together.  I wanted to have more energy, feel stronger and move into this new phase of my life feeling good about my body and my health. 

 I had never lifted heavy weights before and was somewhat apprehensive when Caroline would add more & more (!!) weights to additional sets.  But she had confidence in me and that gave me the encouragement to keep lifting.  I am now stronger than I have ever been in my life!

Caroline is also very good about working with clients holistically.  We talk about diet and sleep before every session.  She is always doing research to help her clients successfully move through whatever stage of life they are experiencing - prenatal, postnatal, pre and post menopause.   She has made several lifestyle suggestions to me that have been very helpful.

In addition to knowledge of her craft and dedication to her clients, Caroline is just fun to be around. She makes our workouts enjoyable and they go by quickly.  She is very personable and we have become friends over the course of our time together. I have worked with Caroline for prenatal and postpartum fitness. Caroline has been so helpful in my awareness of my changing, pregnant body when it comes to fitness. She has helped me with foundational techniques that has helped me in many areas other than just working out - such as breathing techniques, pelvic floor exercises and how to stay healthy during pregnancy. She has helped a lot with core strength and I feel stronger in this pregnancy and am able to do things I didn't think I was physically capable of doing. Caroline is such a gentle, but effective advocate for women strength training. She implemented a life-changing program at my gym called Ladies Who Lift, which gave me the platform to explore strength training in a non-intimidating, all ladies (mostly beginners) environment! Having never touched a barbell in my life and could barely lift the weights to put on it, I loved how patient and understanding she was. There was never pressure to increase beyond what I was comfortable doing and the importance of form and listening to your body has always been the focus. While I will probably never be the strongest girl in the class (nor is it my goal to be), I am now intentional about keeping strength training in my routine, knowing how that it is the most important thing I can do as an aging woman.  

In addition to strength/resistance training, Caroline is an expert on pelvic floor health and I have taken several prenatal classes with her. Who knew there was so much to learn there? Caroline creates such an inviting space to explore something that can be a little hard to explore in a "gym" setting. I already know I am going to have a healthier pregnancy journey & labor if I keep building on the techniques that she taught me!

 

All in all, Caroline is just the best! She is a gym coach, a life coach, a friend, and someone you look forward to seeing everyday! I am a different person today after working with her for the past 2 years!
